Why the hell are violins so expensive? I can get a Fender Squier for €110 that, while it’s not the best of quality, does the job. I can get a basic acoustic guitar for €50 and an even cheaper Spanish guitar for €30. But the cheapest violin I have found online so far is well over €300. They can’t possibly be so “fine tuned” and crafted that it merits that price.
